Scope and Contents
Scrapbook compiled for Dr. Albert Lemoine, Jr., to commemorate his retirement as professor emeritus in 1987. Dr. Lemoine joined the faculty of the KU School of Medicine in 1947 and served as chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology from 1950 to 1980. He received the KU Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Teaching in 1986 and was the 1987 Honorary Alumnus of the Year of the KU School of Medicine. Dr. Lemoine died in 1994.
The scrapbook contains biographical material, letters of congratulations, photographs, awards, and assorted ephemera.

Conditions Governing Access
Some folders are restricted because of their sensitive nature or because they contain personal or confidential information. Access may be allowed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the KUMC Archives and only after a proposal has been reviewed and approved by the University of Kansas Human Subjects Committee. All requests are subject to review by the Archives staff to determine accessibility.
